Anitua - on the road to business excellence

The first half of 2011 will see Anitua seriously embark on it’s path to Business Excellence (BE). Using the Business Excellence framework, the group is embarking on a journey to ensure a shared strategic direction and a focus on process design and improvements throughout all levels of the organisation.

A balanced scorecard approach will be used to ensure that all of our objectives are measurable and tracked. The program will involve everyone in the organisation include employees at all levels. Professor Mark Rehn from Australia is facilitating the project, along with Business Improvement Manager, Liz Keane.

Less than 4% of the western world’s organisations are actively pursuing business excellence, so the fact that the Anitua Group is starting the process is a testament to their commitment to being the “best they can be”. Such organisations have also found that their incremental Return on Investment (ROI) for pursuing process design and improvement, arguably the most important component of business excellence, is usually 10:1, or higher. They have also shown that the program is the best way to empower and motivate their employees to perform at their best whilst having fun at work. The program offers potentially huge benefits to the group, as we move down the Business Excellence track!
